The above quote is from the Sugar Sugar Rune (#ad) anime and manga series by Moyoco Anno. It’s the code of the Magical World, but what’s up with this quote? Why is this the code of the Magical World? Why does the Magical World in Sugar Sugar Rune have this saying?

What happens if your heart is taken? How does love work in the Magical World? What about romantic relationships?

Like, what about Queen Candy (Vanilla Mieux / Ice’s mother) and Cinnamon Meilleure (Chocolat Meilleure / Kato’s mom)? Those 2 must have fallen in love, right? Didn’t they get married to whoever Chocolat and Vanilla’s fathers are or something?

Weren’t their hearts taken or did they not give up their hearts when they fell in love? Or is that not how it works or what? How do people in the Magical World get together then? Does it not involve their hearts? What do you think about this?
